Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) opened its doors in October 2006, proudly representing musicals from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and the West End, as well as shows originating in regional theatres and elsewhere. It is our mission to cultivate and introduce new work along with extending the production life of musicals and plays to all theatrical marketplaces.
We license productions to a broad range of customers, including elementary, middle and high schools or primary and secondary schools; colleges and universities, community, civic, amateur and religious organizations; summer stock and dinner theatres; regional and residential theatres and opera companies; youth theatres, cruise ships, casinos, hotels, and producers of touring and Off-Broadway or off-West productions. In short, our customers include anyone who wants to experience and share the joy of live theatre.
As agents for the authors, TRW grants live stage production rights. It is our responsibility to ensure that those rights are administered in a manner consistent with the laws governing the usage of copyrighted materials. We also provide the authorized performance materials required to rehearse and present these musicals and plays, in addition to innovative products aimed at helping the artistic and commercial value of your presentations.
Lysna brings over 25 years of wide-ranging experience in the theater: beginning her career as a Costume Designer/Coordinator for major not-for-profit theaters in NY including the Public Theater, Wooster Group and Folksbeine before moving on as an assistant to famed theater producer Arthur Cantor. As Membership Coordinator for the Writer’s Guild of America East, she coordinated membership issues for writers at NBC, CBS and ABC. However, her close ties to the theatrical world meant a return to working with theater writers, composers and lyricist at The Shukat Company, Ltd, a management company. Later, she moved to Samuel French as Director of Acquisitions and Business Affairs for the last two of her 10 years there before taking a position as Director of Acquisitions at Playscripts, Inc.
Applying her expertise as a supporter of deserving theatrical endeavors, she serves on the Advisory Board of Dramatic Question Theater, a company dedicated to presenting work to inner-city communities and cultivating a robust Latino and African-American audience. She has also served as a member of the selection committees for Kean University’s Premiere Stages Festival the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival and the Eugene O’Neill’s National Music Theater Conference.
